What Is The Right Legal Age To Start Drinking?
October 30, 2008 by Susan Denny
I read somewhere on the internet that in France they want to change the drinking age limit from 16 to 18 years old.
Some people may be horrified at the thought of their 16 year olds drinking any type of alcohol, but in France, as in some other European countries, children grow up having a small glass of wine with their meals. To them it’s a way of life.
Provided these children are supervised as to when they are allowed to have a drink, there should not be any problem. It’s only when they party with friends who have not grown up in that culture, that the drinking can get out of hand. They not only drink wine but also get into the hard liquors which cause the problems.
In the USA the legal drinking age is 21, but on the other hand they allow their kids to have a driving licence at age 16. This suggests that kids are responsible enough to drive but not to consume alcohol.
Here in Australia the legal age for drinking is 18. Because of the prevalence of binge drinking, I personally believe we should adopt the culture of the Europeans and teach our kids the responsible way to drink, or raise the legal age limit to 21.
We cannot stop our kids from drinking alcohol. If they don’t drink it at home, they will get it elsewhere. Why don’t we as adults, take the lead and teach our kids the responsible and sensible way to consume alcohol.
Are You Prepared For Xmas?
October 27, 2008 by Susan Denny
I don’t know about you but I get very nervous when I see Xmas decorations in the shopping centres already and it’s not even November yet!
I haven’t even thought about Xmas shopping, but I know that I’ll be thrust into it before I know it. As for buying presents for my family, well that just gets harder every year. I mean, what do you get someone who has everything? I struggle with this every year and spend hours wandering around the shops hoping for some inspiration.
An idea I’ve come up with is to give them a bottle of the best flavoured rum in the world, which is supplied by Quittin’ Time in Australia, and adding a couple of my LED Cocktail and Martini Glasses. I could also make up a gift basket with a bottle of the flavoured rum and 6 LED Shot Glasses.
I’m in the business of having FUN so these 2 ideas will make great Xmas presents. As soon as the glasses light-up, the atmosphere will change. There’ll be plenty of smiles going around.
If you’re stuck for an ideal Xmas gift, why not consider my range of Fun LED Glassware as well as the flavoured rums from Quittin’ Time!
Cheer Up! It’s Not The End Of The World!
October 22, 2008 by Susan Denny
With all the doom and gloom so called “experts” are predicting for the world economy, isn’t it time to stand up and not accept what’s being said?
We’re constantly hearing about the world going into recession, increasing inflation, housing sales dropping, petrol and food prices rising.
Now we can quite easily accept what they feed us, or we can reject it and look at our situation in a more positive light.
I’ve decided to live my life as I always have and I believe that I will survive no matter what happens.
A major part of my life is about having fun, and that’s what I’ll continue to do, after all, my business is called Fun LED Glassware! It’s my job to promote the benefits of adding a bit of fun into people’s lives, and that’s why I am so passionate about my product.
Imagine spending a day listening to the latest news on the economy, and arriving home to a party with dozens of LED glasses all lit up and flashing. Now that would certainly put a smile on your face!
Who cares about the economy? I don’t!
The “Silly Season” Is Almost Here
October 20, 2008 by Susan Denny
By now you’ve probably booked a venue for your Xmas party seeing as you have to book so early!
Xmas parties are wonderful for celebrating the end of a long year and what better way than to have a celebration drink out of your Fun LED Cocktail, Martini or Shot Glass. A year is a long time in your working life and it seems that as soon as the end of the year festivities begin, you can immediately feel a sense of relief and start to relax your mind. Make it a time to remember and relax with family and friends.
Maybe you’ve decided to take leave at this time, which is an even better reason to relax and unwind from the stresses of the passing year. Go to the beach or take a hike through a rainforest, whatever it takes for you to forget all about work.
Xmas is a time of sharing gifts with your family and friends, so why not give a gift which will last them for many years to come. Give them a Fun LED Glass and have it engraved so that they can remember how much fun they had on that special day.
Whatever you decide to do over Xmas, just remember one thing. Have fun!
Looking Forward To Summer!
October 17, 2008 by Susan Denny
It’s already Spring here in the Southern hemisphere and I’m really looking forward to the beautiful sunny days and the warm, balmy nights.
The weather in Queensland is very good all year round but Summer is very hot and humid and I seem to have an unquenchable thirst.
This is when I get most use out of my Fun LED Glassware. The days and nights are perfect for getting together with family and friends sharing some fantastic cocktails. There are so many to choose from I don’t know where to start.
One of my favourite things to do is sit by my pool and sip either a refreshing cocktail or a martini in my Fun LED Martini glass. At night it’s really spectacular watching the glasses change colour in the dark.
To finish the night off I love a shot of lime flavoured rum in my Fun LED Shot glasses. What a colourful way to spend a day!
I’ve put together a list of delicious cocktails which are sent to you weekly. If you’d like to subscribe please submit your details below.

Fun LED Glassware Xmas Presents
October 15, 2008 by Susan Denny
Why not give something different as a Xmas present to someone who has everything.
Giving a flashing LED Glass is a fun gift and it can be engraved with whatever you want. Maybe you can put their name on it along with the year or maybe you’d like to have a fancy design added.
You could also add a bottle of their favourite flavoured Rum from Quittin’ Time, with a bottle of mixer so that they can indulge in a fantastic cocktail, while watching their glass change colours.
Put the items into a gift basket, wrap it with coloured cellophane, tie it with ribbon and you have a very special Xmas gift!
Why not do a gift basket with a couple of Fun LED Shot Glasses, a bottle of spirits or liqueur, add a few chocolates and you have have a great gift idea.
Remember that Xmas is a time for FUN so give a gift which will help you and your family and friends celebrate with Fun LED Glassware and a bottle of flavoured rum from Quittin’ Time!
